These questions apply to most of our Svelte programs and meal plans. If you have a specific question about one of our programs, please contact support.
Q. How do I start my Svelte program and where do I start? If you recently purchased the One and Done 2-week trial, start with the beginner series 1 for One and Done. Speed will be your your first workout. After you complete speed, follow your workout calendar and go in order to complete remaining workouts.
If you purchased the monthly One and Done with Svelte Life Series, complete One and Done first. Once you’ve completed One and Done, Svelte Life Series has shorter, burst workouts at about 2-3 minutes per exercise.
Q. I cannot jump or hold up my own weight. Do you have different exercises I can do?YES, of course. See the “Exercise Modification” videos in your member dashboard. You can also use the beginner series as well!
Q. Can I do more than 1 workout per day?As a result of using a Svelte meal plan and detoxifying your body, you might feel lethargic; however, this is normal. If you are new to exercise and our program is radically different than what you were previously doing, take caution with your exercises over the first 7 days and work with your doctor. Listen to your body. If you are up for more, then by all means, please do as many as you see fit and your doctor approves!
Q. I am a Vegan/Vegetarian OR I don’t like some of the food choices. Can I substitute? Not a problem! You can pick out suitable substitutions from the “One for One” substitution list, including approved vegan and vegetarian options.
Q. Should I do the warm up and cool down with every workout?Yes! You should always warm up to increase blood flow to your muscles. This will reduce soreness and risk of injury. Cooling down will help with recovery by gradually reducing your heart rate and blood pressure.
Q. I am in the the first few days of trying a new Svelte meal plan and I feel a bit lethargic. What should I do?Depending on your normal diet, feeling lethargic within the detox period is normal. This is your body adjusting to a cleaner and less processed diet. You will feel these effects even more if you were consuming large amount of sugar and/or processed foods prior to starting the new meal plan.
Q. I am not getting ANY emails from Mere.Make sure that you have “white-listed” [email protected]. This will ensure that our emails will be sent to your inbox and not your spam, junk, trash, or promotions folder. A great way to ensure this is to reply to an email from Mere and then your email provider will know we are friends!
Q. How much water should I be drinking? Please try and drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water (8 oz each) a day to ensure that you are hydrated. Depending on your activity level and heat exposure, this may vary.
Q. Can I have coffee during my meal plans?Yes! You are human right 😉 HOWEVER, please drink only 1-2 cups per day. Make sure it is unsweetened and black for the first 7 days. After a week, you can integrate stevia and 1-2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond or coconut milk.
Q. Will my face break out during detoxing? You may notice an increase in breakouts during the beginning periods of switching to a Svelte meal plan, particularly if you are not having regular bowel movements. The skin is the body’s largest organ and one of most prominent avenues that the body will use to get rid of waste products, especially if they’re not leaving fast enough through the colon or the kidneys (i.e. constipation). These symptoms will subside as your body releases toxins, usually within 2-3 days.
Q. I already have a workout program. How can I integrate the Svelte programs?Try and do a least 1 Svelte Workout (this could be from One & Done, SvelteLife Series, or any other Svelte Program on your regular exercise days. I love using them as a warm up or a workout “after-burner”.
Q. I am having trouble with bowel movements. What can I do?For some people, constipation can be just a temporary side-effect of the transition from a modern to a cleaner diet. In the first few week of any new diet, especially if that diet is a radical change from how you were eating before, it’s normal for your body to need some time to adjust. During the first week or so, give your body a chance to adapt before you assume that your new Svelte meal plan is obviously unhealthy. If you’re very uncomfortable during this period, use a bulking laxative like Metamucil or psyllium husk or digestive teas to help you get through the initial adaptation more smoothly.
Make sure you are drinking at least 64 oz of water per day.
Q. I am having gas/feeling bloated. Is this normal?Yes, in the first couple of days of switching to a Svelte meal plan, digestive side effects include bloating, cramping, and flatulence. The degree of gas, bloating, and cramping you undergo during this time depends on the overall condition of your colon and how you ate prior to engaging in the new meal plan. To decrease symptoms, try consuming ginger root (tea or capsule).
Q. I still really need support. What should I do?Fantastic question! The great thing about the Svelte is that you have access to all kinds of help!
